You can opt for one of three models where the Aveo LT represents the flagship of this range. Hand gear models as well as an automatic version - available in the LT series only - is available. As far as price is concerned the Aveo comes in as very affordable.

The shift to smaller cars came about as the cost of driving large cars has escalated tremendously. Fuel prices and fuel economy factors sway a lot of buyers and the Aveo sports, variable timing of valves in the 4 cylinder engine got a bit of a re design before release. Severe crash tests as done by the National Highway Traffic safety Administration saw the Aveo get a 5 star rating for driver protection. This is the top score the NHTSA give out. Four stars were awarded for passengers in the front seat and three for side impact test. All in all great safety results!

You can choose between two different styles of Aveo - the sedan or the 4-door hatch back model. All of them seat five with ease. The interiors see some refreshing as well, and standard features on all models include a AM / FM radio with 4 speakers including an auxiliary jack, wipers with intermittent settings and OnStar in all models.

The more deluxe LT model boasts an improved nine speaker stereo CD player with optional keyless door access, satellite radio and electric windows / central locking to choose from.

All models have cloth interior finishes on the seats and side panels with the LT model giving you a larger choice of superior cloth, metal trim finishes and a bit larger storage in the back cargo space. This has proved to be problematic in many sub-compact vehicles.

The Aveo has proven to be a good choice in small cars to save money on daily commuting.
